Lora has created a female sculpture, Madame, to adorn the back entrance to Gallery 31 to complement Pierre, the French artist sculpture who welcomes visitors on Main Street.
Louise Lamontagne is our featured artist through early June when our summer openings begin with an exhibit entitled “Emerging Cape Artists: Twelve Nauset High Art Honors Students Exhibit at Gallery 31.” Featured artists hang new shows with opening receptions every other Saturday from 4 to 7pm at Gallery 31 through Columbus Day weekend.
Our hours are posted on this website, but we’re also open by chance and by appointment. We invite you to stop in to experience for yourself all that Gallery 31 has to offer.
Located in the historic old Post Office on Main Street in Orleans on the lower Cape, Gallery 31 Fine Art contains two exhibition rooms with original paintings by ten Cape Cod artists. Founded in 2000, Gallery 31 is a showcase for the work of a very eclectic group whose art is as rich in content and diverse in subject as they are.
At Gallery 31, artists own and operate the gallery as business partners. The atmosphere is friendly and casual yet professional, and you’ll always find an artist on hand to chat about fine art, inspiration, and painting techniques.
This year we welcome Lora McNeece Barrett as a new partner to Gallery 31.
As artists we have moxie, and we bring different
strengths to the mix. We rotate display locations often
to be fair, to encourage the hanging of new art, and to
keep the gallery fresh.
