PLAY with ALCOHOL INKS WORKSHOP at GALLERY 31 FINE ART!

Date:  Saturday April 21, 2018  10 am to 3 pm at Gallery 31

Artist Mary Wojciechowski will take up to 8 people in this personalized, fun-filled, hands-on day exploring the serendipitous world of creating art using alcohol inks!

The workshop opens at 10 am with introductions and a demo by Mary, followed by distribution of art materials, set-up, and one-on-one instruction at your art spot.  Bring your lunch to eat on the premises at your convenience.  Mary will demo again -- perhaps short ones to show new techniques to explore -- as you create art and greeting cards to take home afterwards. All necessary supplies are included in the workshop fee, and you get to keep your own supplies for future use!  The workshop winds up after a group show of work by 3pm, followed by a Gallery 31 Opening Reception from 3:30 to 5:30pm. No previous painting experience is required.

The cost, including all of your materials, is $95.

Registration is refundable only if your spot is filled, minus a $15 cancellation fee.

Wear an apron, bring your lunch, and we will provide coffee/tea!

ALCOHOL INKS WORKSHOP at GALLERY 31 FINE ART!

No previous painting experience is required.

Date:  Friday, August 10, 2018  10 am to 3 pm at Gallery 31

Artist Mary Wojciechowski will teach this personalized, fun-filled, hands-on day exploring the serendipitous world of creating art using alcohol inks!

Alcohol Ink is a highly pigmented and quick-drying medium applied by pouring, brushing or stamping on a non-porous surface, such as “Yupo.” The vibrant colors of alcohol inks intermingle, creating unique textural effects, often leading to unexpected results.  The workshop will begin with an introduction to alcohol ink as a painting medium and a demonstration in techniques of pouring, brushing and creating textures. The remaining time will be used for personal exploration with participants completing many paintings. The workshop will wind up with a time for feedback and discussion, allowing participants to share their paintings and discoveries.

All materials for this workshop will be provided. Bring a paint shirt or apron to protect your clothing. There will be protective gloves provided.

The workshop opens at 10 am with introductions and a demo by Mary, followed by distribution of art materials, set-up, and one-on-one instruction at your art spot.  Bring your lunch. Mary will demo again -- short ones to show additional techniques to explore -- as you create art to take home afterwards.  The workshop winds up by 3pm, with a sharing of work created and discussion of new ideas.

The cost, including all of your materials, is $95.

Registration is refundable only if your spot is filled, minus a $15 cancellation fee.

Wear an apron, bring your lunch, and we will provide coffee/tea!
